So, today we made the first big step towards our travels… We booked our flights.

The big day = 17th September

We’re flying directly out to Hong Kong for 3 nights and then on to Cairns for some diving and relaxation before heading down to the East coast of Australia.

It all became very real today, very exciting, nerve racking and just plain awesome!

Now to gather ideas and recommendations so that we can truly make this a trip of a lifetime.

Simon and I have been planning today. The whole travelling experience seems more real every day at the moment. Notices are being given and itineraries are being written. We want to share our plans with you, as well as share our experiences while we’re away.

We know that many people think we’re crazy. Two mortgages, very good jobs and excellent opportunities, but it’s been a dream of ours for a while and the quote below sums it up perfectly.
